Pros

There aren't any pros for working here. You spend what you make in gas and tolls.

Cons

They start you off painting a picture that sounds great. In reality, your getting paid $100-$125 before taxes....You start working at 12pm-1pm and finish up no earlier than 1am. That's 12 hours of work...Every other job you can make $10 an hour and still make more. There are zero benefits to working here, and you get no benefits from the employer. You must pay for your own gas and tolls (most of the venues they send you are far). Forgot to mention the best part the training is unpaid and you have to come to them multiple times. Get this instead of even training you, they give you a PDF and tell you to follow it and go home when you finish. All unpaid. Save yourself the time and just do not work here. For the people who do work at Posh and want to quit...Just don't show up for work because if you show up for work and quit the right way by giving them notice, they will dock your pay for reasons they will make up on the spot (by "they" I mean the Owner-DJ LIL CEE)

Pros

- Travel to some really nice places and venues (sometimes) -Jobs a great Work-out -Learn about audio equipment

Cons

- Litterly got fired because of a few medical issues and messed up a meet time. Even with an explanation for why. (Without warning or anything, just a lazy typed up email message saying "your not a good fit") So there's your where you'll stance will be in the company when your new. HERE IS A BREAKDOWN OF THE PAY First off you get payed for the gig, not your hours, keep that in mind. - They don't pay for your gas unless a venue is $60, other employees told me they wont give you a penny if you drive 59 miles or less. So be ready to cut $125 paycheck down to 95 because of the gas. Don't forget your taxes, now $85. But wait, they don't pay yours tolls either so now your at $70-$80. Oh and you gotten pay for your own work shirt the first day with there website on it, so go ahead and subtract another $25 (yup litterly a 25 dollar shirt. So now your at about $50. To sum things up, you'll make about $50 in pocket your first day at for about 10+ hours, and $75 after that between all the exspencies. God help you if you damage something too. You can make money from tips but its pretty rare, and funnels down through 3-4 guys above you, and some just hoard the entire tip and lie about it (witnessed this). Be ready to do hours of driving and hard labor for a mediocre pay. - If you show signs of a liability, they will toss you out without warning and do it quick. Even though you can take off however many days you need to get better. Its always easier to get someone else I guess.

Pros

Working on weekends throughout the night and paying for gas and tolls was definitely a pro.

Cons

You get paid $100 pre tax a night to drive from your house to Cranford, NJ. Load a van or truck with a lot of heavy equipment. Then drive to the wedding venue. Setup equipment. Leave the venue. Come back in 5-6 hours. Breakdown equipment and load in truck. Follow the truck with your car back to Cranford, NJ. Unload the equipment back to it’s proper place and then have a cigarette. At this point you worked from 11am and it’s now 4am the following day. Yes! You earned your $100 for your time and gas!

POSH Entertainment Response

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for sharing your honest and truthful review of your experience with POSH DJs. While you explained the sub roadie level in great detail, you failed to mention that sub roadies typically get promoted to roadie level in about 1-2 months. These promotions include more pay and use of POSH vehicles during work hours. The sub roadie position was put in place to continue the screening process from the initial job interview and for us to gain a better understanding of a team member’s work ethic. Ideally, I do not want anyone to remain as a sub roadie with us but rather move up the ranks as quickly as possible by demonstrating professionalism, reliability, loyalty and communication. Further opportunities include DJ'ing, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Management. I want to see all of our passionate team members flourish and succeed at POSH whether they see DJ'ing as a career or simply want to gain valuable work experience. I'm sorry it didn’t work out. I wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors and career path. Also, for your information, all our u-haul rentals go through our business account set up with u-haul and under our company name. U-haul simply requires drivers to show a valid driver's license before handing over the keys for insurance purposes. Sincerely, Michael Bedkowski Jr. Owner
