Pros

Ben and Josh have successfully bootstrapped a multi-million dollar tech startup. As an aspiring founder this is a great environment to osmote their success. POWr plugins are on hundreds of thousands of pages around the world. Pushing code means affecting the experience of millions of people. The scale of POWr's impact is rare for a company of this size which makes the work all the more rewarding. The POWr family is one of the warmest, most down-to-earth group of humans I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Ballin' office in downtown SF. Occasional rooftop parties and industry events are prime opportunities to network. Excellent company perks.

Cons

POWr.io isn't a brand like AirBNB or Google (yet) so there isn't an "I work for Google!" effect when you tell people where you work. Pay is competitive (especially considering equity) but I have seen higher salaries available.

Pros

Small team with flat structure. Input into what types of projects you get to work on. Incredibly transparent in terms of numbers, goals, and strategies. Diverse team of talented individuals who interact well with one another. Remote opportunities. Opportunities to learn new things every day.

Cons

None really. Compensation is pretty good, but health benefits could be a bit better.

Pros

POWr is a close-knit group of people passionate about what they do. They support a pretty huge user base of small businesses with a small team. - Collaborative culture - Each lunch together every day. People often get together once or twice a week outside of work for a drink. - People work pretty hard, put it some time on evenings / weekends, but most folks have a reasonable work / life balance - Wide variety of technical challenges (multiple programming languages, API integrations). Good opportunity to learn and grow as a developer - Attention to personal growth. Opportunities to wear multiple hats. - Everyone on the team has some equity, and compensation packages are competitive

Cons

- No slide - A few senior folks, but generally a "young hungry" team vs seasoned veterans - Structure (eg engineering processes) still developing
