Pros

Medical, dental and vision benefits were good

Cons

The CEO doesn’t have a clue and the Detroit management (Regional VP) is even more clueless. None of the leadership knows how to turn the Detroit business unit around (Inland Waters Pollution Control). They shift blame from poor or no processes and poor leadership to the operations group and the project managers. Project managers are expected to run projects with a constantly shifting “schedule”. These “schedules” are just project names arbitrarily placed on a certain date, which is sure to be shifted to another date by the afternoon. There is such a high turnover and the remaining PM’s are over worked. One of them was working 16 hour days and submitted the largest invoice that business unit has billed ( because under this CEO, they were allowed to go over 2 years without submitting an invoice for work completed) and the PM was never acknowledged or praised. They hide the Detroit group under Puris Corp because Inland Waters has such a terrible reputation. Puris has owned Inland Waters for at least 3 years and this business unit is still a mess. Puris is also owned by a private equity company. The Detroit Inland Waters Pollution Control can’t be right-sided because the CEO interferes and derails progress. It’s like they’re so used to under achieving that the thought of being successful is frightening to the CEO and Regional VP. There is no diversity. If you can talk and say nothing, you’ll go far with this company. If you think you’re going to help change this business unit, don’t waster your time.

Pros

Not many. Company is being stripped down to bare minimum.

Cons

No clear path forward and they are culling long term employees for cheap labor.

Pros

Unfortunately, this company offers nothing compelling enough to make working here worthwhile.

Cons

The majority of us in the Woodlands office are actively seeking new opportunities. Including me. Most of my coworkers have left without notice, and the environment feels overly restrictive—more like being micromanaged than treated as professionals. Flexibility is virtually nonexistent, with remote work policies that are inconsistent and unfair. While some individuals can work from home full-time, most are limited to just one remote day every other week. The demands of the job don’t match the way we are valued; working tirelessly only to be treated as if we lack autonomy simply isn't worth it. If you're considering a career move, prioritize finding an organization that genuinely respects and supports their employees. Let me save you some time, runaway as fast as you can from this company. We were told our salaries would be reviewed in April, it’s May now and I still haven’t received any news about my salary increase, nobody has.
