Pros

Want a head start on a career that teaches you how to sling mud and backstab peers? Look no further. Work for pennies while the execs make 1000x more than you! All the while, they tell you how great of a job you are doing, then turn around and tell you how you don't deserve a raise.

Cons

People roam in groups. If you aren't part of the group, you don't exist. They will walk all over you, figuratively and literally. You can share a cube space with a peer for a few years and that same peer won't even acknowledge you outside of the office unless they need your help. After you've helped them, they will go back to ignoring you. Refuse to help? They will call you for not being a "team player" and your boss will expect you to help them even if it's not your job or part of your job responsibility. The commissioner promises the schools a specific amount of cash annually that has never been delivered, yet his salary keeps on rising! (google it; highest paid in the smallest market). Positions have been cut and not fulfilled in the past few years. Ask for a increase in salary? "No, what have YOU done for the company?" Bottom line: they are looking for kids fresh out of college, who don't know better, to work for minimal wage in one of the most expensive places to live.

Not the place for women with ambition

Pros

Good group of coworkers, good work-life balance

Cons

Dominated by men; particularly men on the Conference side, who all control the departments on the Networks side. Women do not get promotions, advancement, mentorship. President of Networks is largely a female figurehead who gets steamrolled by male leadership (commissioner, associate commissioner, general counsel, other VPs). Men joke around in the office, goof off, slack off, the women put their heads down and grind the work out. Women are in service-oriented roles, men are behind closed doors actually making the decisions to guide the company. Several high-profile women have been terminated. Ladies, if you're on the up and up, take your talents elsewhere.

Pros

If you like collegiate sports and want to work on digital content or broadcast this is place for you.

Cons

The environment is toxic at the Pac-12. If you're not a white male bro then you won't get paid what you're worth or advance in the company. Speaking of advancing there's no advancing at the Pac-12. It is very top heavy and those fat cats (bunch of old white men) at the top ensure it stays like that. To define the toxicity at this place here is what you're allowed to do if you're a white person: -Yell/berate your coworkers at a meeting and have zero consequence -Break company policy by gambling -Throw Football Games.
