Negative Work Environment - Employees are Bullied

Cons
Work was an oppressive environment - employees who question management's decisions were bullied by either being called out directly in company meetings, being shunned by upper management, or being bombarded by corrective emails that were sent to all staff. I never felt like I could openly speak my mind or express concerns about the way the business was run. I constantly felt like demeaned and judged by my employer. I was there for six years because the environment made me feel like I wasn't good enough and couldn't do better and my work life was controlled by the whim of a madman. Once I got out of there it felt like a weight being lifted and I have excelled at my career and have found value in myself and my work. There is also no advancement beyond background screening as management jobs are all held by members of the employers family.
