Genuine connection with students. Boss was super flexible. Never was a day I dreaded going to work
Cons
You're working with a bunch of teens/young adults whose frontal lobes haven't developed and don't understand that at the end of the day, this is a business. For instance, had a coworker who told our boss he didn't care about her because he switched her to counsel another group of kids after parents complained about her LOL. You will see a lot of horrible behavior from the same students and the director won't kick them out of aftercare for whatever reason.
