      Decent pay for the State of Florida compared to other counties.

      Pay is far lower than other states in the U.S. Florida ranks 49th in the nation, only Mississippi has a lower average pay (only by approx. $1,200/yr less). The very high cost of living in Florida and this low average pay is driving teachers to either work 2-3 jobs, or venturing out to other professions in order to make enough money to live in Florida.
