Pros

Some of the people were pretty welcoming but not professional at all in regards to work place etiquette.

Cons

Zero training plan in place, worked here for 33 working days and they expected me to know everything when I was being trained by someone who was there for 4 months. They told me they won’t be passing my probation so I need to resign, I told them I haven’t done anything wrong and learning quite quickly considering but they said that the manager there wants to move on so wanted me to learn it all straight it away. Mental and horrible way to treat new staff. Don’t join here.

Bullying and toxic culture

Pros

There are some great people, but there are great people everywhere. Unfortunately they aren’t protected from bullies.

Cons

They have a problem with bullying in leadership. I know of multiple departments that have had this problem and they don’t do anything about it. They protect them and sweep it under the rug. I can’t understand why but maybe it’s to protect their platinum employer status or the fact they go on so much about how they care about their employees mental health. I’m currently in therapy from the bullying, so please don’t fall for it. I know lots of other employees that have also left because they couldn’t take it any longer. The workload that they expect you to take on is unbelievable too, whilst the salaries are well known to be low. They always make a big deal of the profit related pay but it’s hardly anything compared to other companies. They have just made a lot of redundancies and targeted long standing staff that had final salary pensions - that’s how much they care for loyalty. Please do yourself a favour and avoid this place!

Pros

Share save scheme and the end of year bonus is the only thing to stay here for, that’s if you can bare the soul crushing morale on a day to day basis.

Cons

- Company systems are way below benchmark. - some very power hungry managers who talk to the talk but never produce a result. - outdated systems with lots of issues - depressing morale - a lot of extremely slow people working there - when you work hard you gain very little acknowledgement based on the team I was on. - this company love to offer roles to staff who are eager and naive to work it on the same wage as a lower role. - company makes ridiculous decisions such as to put a manager who is very strict, in charge of a team she has no knowledge of the work they do. - not enough parking, so you are forced to drive around to find one. - so much more but honestly I’m just glad I’ve left and just writing this brings back sad memories of how I let a company mug me off so much. - many people working out of fear of repurchasing. - the saddest thing is, I read these reviews whilst I was employed by paragon and I laughed because everything said was so true!.
