Over time, the pressure to perform increased significantly, with higher targets and more demanding performance metrics being introduced regularly. Despite the added responsibilities and expectations, there were no corresponding salary increases or additional benefits. This imbalance led to widespread dissatisfaction and a feeling of being undervalued and overworked.
