Pros
Dayshift and weekends off, overtime is not encouraged. The work itself is not toxic, it's pretty stress-free. The work environment is good - it is bright and regularly cleaned. It's comfortable. Facilities employees are also all very kind and approachable. Some VAs have made a good community together, they're always singing in the pantry after work and anyone can join. Depending on the workload the client gives you, there can be times that you will go to work to do nothing for 8 hours and still get paid. The hiring process is harder than the actual job. Free salad every Tuesday, free coffee every day. Small thing, but important: the bathrooms are clean and some stalls have bidet.
Cons
Salary is okay, much better than a lot of other places, there was a recent raise in base pay so it's higher than when I got hired but still quite small. Feels like there is a divide between higher management and the "other employees". The pandemic has deteriorated the company culture but the company is young and the Philippines is still not well-adjusted to the pandemic. However, company branding is not consistent with reality. Management is more loyal to clients than to their employees. Employee engagement is pretty low. There isn't much room for growth and if you want to learn more in your role, your client has to pay for it. If the client doesn't think you need it, then it's a no. If you want to stay in the same role long-term but with a yearly salary increase, this is the company for you. If you want to grow, maybe not.
