Pros

Some very hard-working, good people. Fast career growth opportunities Not an overly-corporate environment means relaxed atmosphere and 'down to earth' approach to problems

Cons

Benefits and bonuses are lacking. Management decisions can be mind-boggling. Management includes individuals who simply do not meet the knowledge criteria for their positions which leads to aimless meadering of priorities. Structural changes involving some departments lead to merging or absolving of specific teams. Non-technical individuals being responsible for coordinating technical people across different teams with no idea who manages what. Despite claiming status as established for a few years, culture/workload/attitude is still very much stuck in a start-up state. I saw unfair treatment regarding several employees whilst others faced zero repercussions for fireable acts in most other businesses. Non-technical heads and above means zero cohesive strategy to actually developing systems needed to progress. Too many managers and 'head of's considering actual size of company. Overinflated sense of purpose creates a weird environment for the average employee.
