Pros

Working with kids. Good hours. Off holidays

Cons

Staff is overwhelmed as ratios are not safe. The CNAs do not change the diapers for multiple hours. Children may lay in the same spot for multiple hours, because RNs are charting (paper) and doing orders and management does not ensure CNAs are moving each patient every two hours. The kids who can can walk/ talk don’t receive education. They have a calendar of events; but rarely ever are the events done. As an employee, staff micromanages, but not for the kids sake. Over whether or not you brought your phone into work or forgot to send a jacket home. Front staff that isn’t involved in patient care is accounted for in ratios.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We recognize that your experiences and feelings are not the environment we want for any of our team members, and we take this feedback seriously. Pediatric Health Choice (PHC) now has a new partner in Pediatric Home Service (PHS), and we are committed to investing in our teams and ensuring that each branch has the resources and support needed to provide the best possible care to our patients. We are actively working on bringing additional tools, training programs, and operational resources to each location to help alleviate workload challenges and improve efficiency. Our goal is to empower branch leadership by giving them more autonomy while also providing the structure and support they need to be successful. In the coming months, we are rolling out new initiatives to recognize and support employees, including leadership development programs, additional clinical resources, and operational improvements to streamline processes. We understand that these changes take time, but we are dedicated to making meaningful improvements that positively impact our teams. We appreciate your feedback. Thank you again for your time at PHC, and we wish you the best in your career.

Pros

Some Nice Staff 1 hr lunches loving children

Cons

There is so much to write in this space about this company. First I would rate this company a 0.5 star if I could. From the beginning, this company has been ran like no other. There are so many factors that need to be looked into. Micro Managing from corporate office is overwhelming. The centers Administrators have 0 say in the way their center is ran. Whatever this one lady says GOES!. HIGH TURNOVER!!! The corporate office helps what center they wants and all others would have to figure it out. Corporate sounds nice over the phone but they are snakes! Don't put your trust in Administrators. They run and tell everything to Corporate. Its either their way or they will let you go! They don't work with you at all! If you have friends in corporate, once you leave they will not talk to you ever! The pay is not that great! Especially if you living in Florida. Most workers here have second jobs because the pay is not good. I don't call a .25 cent raise making good money. Kids coming in with illnesses and passing it through the center to other kids and nurses! Disgusting environment! Please, please look elsewhere because this place is no good for any one! Nurses or CNA!!!!

Pros

It is wonderful to work with kids. The hours aren’t bad. It is 9 hours shifts (varying times) 4 days a week. It is nice having a day off during the week.

Cons

Management focuses on money instead of proper nurse to patient ratios. Lack of communication from management to staff. Benefits are not good...at all. Dealing with really trifling parents.
