Pros

Store locations ar enjoyable and customers spend good money which translates to frequent tips

Cons

Management is A MESS. Owner in way over their head and becomes paranoid leading to threats, scoldings, disrespect, and accusations. High employee turn over rate, entire staff was fired or quit in a couple months and then the new staff had the exact same fate. Owner will fire or threaten to fire employees for minuscule reasons. Employee's crying at work. Owner’s character is short tempered and petty like a mean girls table in high school. Poor employee training leading to struggling business.

You have to stop coming on here as different positions that don’t exist at each location just to berate me because I terminated you back in July last year. The company and myself do not stand for people in the company that purposely cause issues with other employees. You constantly were causing drama over things that were unnecessary and so so minor. It’s time to stop now because it’s now almost 9 months after you’ve been terminated and you’ve gone on every site possible to personally defame me. I would say your name but then this response would be removed. And please stop wearing your company tshirt around town as if you still work for us. It’s extremely disturbing.

Pros

The shop and company design are amazing. The customers and day to day can be very enjoyable, people tend to be in a good mood when plant shopping.

Cons

There is a pretty negative and sometimes hostile work environment within the company. I don't dare give any further details as the owner has been proven to be litigious against any publicly negative comments about the company. I would not recommend anyone working here.

Thank you for complimenting the shops that I personally curate, manage, and the designs that I make since I am lead designer and our only designer for Newport. You and I both know that you made many many mistakes and eventually the team couldn’t withstand picking up the slack for your many missed orders being mailed out, and your all day long texting to me and the operations manager was draining. It was exhausting having to cater to your personal melt downs that you had on a daily basis. It is not the manager or my responsibility to manage your emotions for you, as I previously mentioned to you. You constantly spiraled for no reason. We tried to be positive with you but it was just too much. You called out sick every month for several days if not a full week. You lied about things getting done and then blamed it on other staff. You would never take accountability for your errors or lack of follow through on tasks. We just can’t have someone working here that does these things. We need to preserve the GOOD staff by letting go of those that drain them and bog them down. You unfortunately were the latter of the two and I highly suggest you stop making excuses for yourself by blaming others and take a look inward at yourself. But we already had this conversation didn’t we?

Pros

Worked by the beach and had an employee discount.

Cons

Red flag signs from the beginning, they had a hard time keeping employees and had constant turnover. There was no work life balance and would be reach out to while I was off. The owner was controlling and talked about her employees behind their backs.

Hi there, we have never had an Operations manager at our Huntington Beach studio location, so this review is seemingly from someone intentionally wanting to harm the company. IF this person was indeed an operations manager (which as I mentioned there has not ever been one at this location, nor has there ever been one) than it is the specific and outlined responsibility of said employee to manage and discuss all other employees that they are responsible for with the owner. In management that is the sole job - to manage all others and discuss challenges as well as positive aspects of all, especially as an Operations Manager. When management performs their job properly the conversations are more positive versus seemingly negative and constantly needing to problem solve issues at hand. We ask that you please take up your personal issues with the owner directly instead of going around everywhere leaving slanderous reviews. I would also like to add that our Huntington Beach warehouse is nowhere near the beach, and had you actually worked there you would be aware of this.
