Pros

Decent bonus structure - can make great money at busy stores. Also have yearly bonuses available based on tenure and restaurant performance. Benefits available. Flexible scheduling. Freedom within boundaries in regards to running/staffing your store. Owner cares about employees; tries to understand each person's situation is different.

Cons

Hard to make a lot of money at lower volume stores - monthly bonuses are built around profit sharing. Lower profit margin = lower bonus. Unavoidable costs can hurt bonus. (Examples: Equipment repairs.) Constant ability to communicate with store is necessary. You may need to go in at any point. Long days & 6 day work week - plan to work 60 hours and a few open-close shifts each week. Vacation can hurt profit sharing bonus due to higher labor costs. Doing well in a small store can pigeon hole you into lower yearly income - why move someone to a more profitable location if he/she is doing a good job at a lower volume one? Profit sharing bonus makes a BIG difference in yearly pay.

Pros

Honestly I loved my coworkers, boss, and even the owner. Food is legitimately good I like the toned down nature of the store. It wasn't about serving thousands of customers every day. Food was more expensive so you had a smaller staff and less customers making everything more personal.

Cons

Pay was less than most fast food places in my area. corporate heavily encouraged this. Corporate had very stringent standards that changed on a dime depending on what inspector you got. Followed the training videos? Sorry those were wrong, we'll have to mark you down for not doing it 'right'. Corporate would expect the world from franchise owners while doing absolutely nothing to support them. During covid every store got a news letter saying useless platitudes which amounted to 'work harder since you're shortstaffed and we don't plan on helping lol'. They expected each individual store to figure out how to protect their employee's from covid and certainly did not send out even the cheapest masks to their stores.
