Pros

Great benefits, some wonderful coworkers, great cohesion among departments. Upper management genuinely tries to make it a fun and productive place to work.

Cons

While I loved presenting to audiences as an outreach coordinator, the job behind the scenes in the outreach department was extremely stressful. Management was very unorganized, often giving unclear instructions and then is unsatisfied when you follow the instructions they gave. It was common to ask management a question about something you needed to do and never get an answer, then get scolded when you did it incorrectly. Schedules would constantly change — sometimes last minute (example: I had to hop off the treadmill in the middle of a run one morning because I suddenly was told to go pick up some supplies), and we had zero control over our own schedules. This makes planning your week very difficult. You are expected to be available all day, every weekday (sometimes I would work 12 hour days). You are also expected to check your email while you are not working, even on days off. Know that this is essentially a nighttime job with some meetings at the office during work hours. This became extremely taxing very quickly. I didn’t mind it at first, but when I started to struggle, my health and family life suffered. Because of the management style and the lack of work-life balance, morale and efficiency decreased, and I was not the only outreach coordinator who experienced these issues. I am used to challenging jobs, and I was passionate about the work I was doing. However, I was surprised to find that this was not the job for me. In my opinion, the workload and stress were not worth the salary.

Pros

Some very good people working here.

Cons

Management has a tendency to micro-manage the good employees. Very little incentive to go above and beyond and pay that is low compared to the market.

Pros

They have a great health benefits. Great working space. Pay is decent. Good bonuses Every Friday there's a staff meeting with free lunch and it really is a good time to connect with others in the company and find out how the company as a whole is doing. Supervisors in every department really care about their employees. They test you out for a while but once they feel good about you they give you a lot of responsibility. Lots of company parties and fun stuff, free m&ms, occasional pool and foosball tourneys. Decent vacations. Some room for growth. They care a lot about clients, but will occasionally put their foot down when they feel they are being abused by a client. Somewhat close to Trax. Work life balance is definitely valued.

Cons

Bad location, I was always getting honked at because it was such a shady location. Some room for growth, but it definitely tops out, especially in the creative department. I felt a little stifled creatively, but it also gave me a chance to work within constraints to make something good. Some clients were a pain. Some people at this place make a lot of jokes that get old, haha but it's manageable.
