      Great starter job.

      Pros

      Great for gaining experience. Has a warm and friendly environment. The owner is very nice and is keeping a company alive that has been passed down from generation to generation.

      Cons

      Upper management has lost touch with reality. Middle management doesn't provide much guidance, and little to no follow through. While everyone is kind it can get very clickie. Money is wasted on things like a wall garden or a Mercedes-Benz transport vehicle. Pay is very low.

      Slap in the Face- They do not respect us

      2 days at home Some of the other lower level employees

      Cons

      You will see from other reviews that they do not pay competitively, and they do not pay to keep up with cost of living. However, their new 3 day in office has increase the cost of going to work. We now have increased childcare, gas, and vehicle maintenance to name just 3... Their has been no talks of any increased to meet these new costs. Additionally we have just "acquired", it seems like they acquired us honestly, Animal Supply. Not only are they not giving us information on this the people they surprise hire are all 100% remote so while they are increasing my expenses they are hiring people fully remote as a SLAP IN THE FACE.

      Great culture and even greater benefits

      Pros

      Medical benefits are out of this world. Even though it's "behind the scenes," it shows they truly care. The company basically pays half or even more than half of your deductible just for being an employee here! The culture is also very laid back - everyone is here to do their job but not take things too seriously. There is also room to grow. If you put the effort in, it does get noticed.

      Cons

      PTO could be better and I wish we could bring our pets to work! Also a little behind the times on pay, but getting there.
