We take all feedback seriously and we are disappointed to hear that your experience at Petfolk was not positive. We do have a strong management team with extensive veterinary experience, but we acknowledge that we may have room for improvement in our processes and culture. We are committed to addressing any issues to ensure that our employees have a positive and supportive work environment.

Pros

I've been working at Petfolk for about a year now, and I have to say it's been an incredibly rewarding experience. As a veterinary-care startup, Petfolk is at the forefront of innovation in the industry, and it's exciting to be a part of a company that's growing so quickly. One of the things I appreciate most about Petfolk is the positive work environment and flat hierarchy. The company culture is one of collaboration and teamwork, and my colleagues are some of the most supportive and talented people I've ever worked with. We work hard and it can be a grind at times, but I know our contributions are making a difference. In particular, I have to give a shoutout to our CEO, Mike. He is an incredibly smart and savvy leader who knows how to bring out the best in people. I have the privilege of working directly with him, and I'm constantly impressed by his strategic thinking and leadership. He also does an amazing job of encouraging differing opinions and motivating team members to speak up, no matter their rank or title. He truly cares about the success of each and every employee. Overall, I can honestly say that I love my job at Petfolk. If you're looking for a dynamic and exciting company with a fun culture and leadership team, I highly recommend checking it out.

Cons

Working at a startup can be stressful. You are consistently asked to step outside your comfort zone and punch above your weight. This can lead to long hours at times, but I've found it incredibly rewarding.

Fantastic Company to work for

Pros

I have been at this company for almost a year and I love it. Yes it is a start-up, but the long-term goals that are engrained with this company are exactly what the veterinary industry needs. Everyone that is employed at this company has the same goals and everyone works equally as hard to achieve them. Yes, there are changes to protocols, but that is to be expected when working for a start-up. All of the remote managers are fantastic and nothing but supportive. Lindsay is very compassionate and really cares about her employees. Dr. Martin is always pushing the virtual team to be the best virtual nurses out there. Management does a great job teaching and giving you every resource imaginable to help you succeed in this business. There are multiple opportunities for advancement within the company and are available to those that are committed and willing to excel at their jobs.

Cons

The only con I have is not about the company, but about some of my co-workers. And it is the same as any veterinary clinic. Sometimes you hire people hoping they will be consistent and positive. But as anyone in the vet industry knows, some people are toxic and just not a good fit. Thankfully the main part of the toxic group of people have put their notices in, so I am hopeful things will turn around.

It's great to hear that you enjoy working at Petfolk and believe in the company's long-term goals. It sounds like the management team is supportive and provides resources to help you succeed. Regarding your co-workers, it's unfortunate that you've encountered some toxicity, but it's positive to hear that the situation is improving with some people leaving the company. We appreciate your feedback and hope that you continue to find success and fulfillment in your role at Petfolk.
