Pros

Weekly pay and choose your own shifts .

Cons

Avoid at all costs! Rude managers, awful scripts and the dregs of the research world! THIS JOB IS A NIGHTMARE!! I have worked with research companies before and have years of customer service experience but none like pexel 🙈! Calling buisness (including hospitals and doctors surgeries in the middle of a pandemic) up to 25 times a day, continously being told no but forced to hound these poor people, who clearly do not have 25 mins to waste on a poorly worded script with terrible grammar. Rude, unhelpful managers who speak to people with a very degrading tone. Thankfully this was only a temporary role due to waiting to start a proper job. Avoid at all costs! I can safely say Pexel Research and their management staff are the most unprofessional bunch I have ever came across. It shocks me that they are even still a business and other companies affiliate with them. I don't imagine they will be around long. Never worked with such hostile, rude people.

Pros

its a call centre, easy to get the job after the course they do ,when you start you would beg people in the phone to do the survey and sometimes they would hung up on you if they are busy and you have to keep trying.

Cons

if they don't need you for the current time ,they will put you on hold and you will never know ,you will keep on asking for shifts and you wont get any . They tell you that it is fine if you wasn't successful to do any survey in your first few days which is totally not true . i regret that i even applied ad wasted my time with them.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave a review regarding your experience here at Pexel. All comments are useful for us to identify where we can work harder to create a better working environment and ensure our employees are happy. The nature of the work we do is clearly explained in the training sessions we offer. We make it clear that the job is a challenge and that we don't expect instant results on your first shift. Team leaders are always available to help with issues and encourage employees in their work. Furthermore, the role is not for everyone and can be hard work, especially when employees aren't seeing results from their efforts. Unfortunately their will be many times when callers are unhelpful or hang up the phone, this is just one of the challenges of the role. We do encourage employees to ask questions, in the training sessions and while they are working. Our team leaders are available to answer these queries, or it will be passed onto someone who can help better. Because the projects we have require different numbers of language speakers at any one time, there could be periods of work that are very busy and where you will have a number of shifts, and on the other hand, periods that are very quiet and where you won't have many shifts. This is also explained prior to training in the information documents we give to you, during training and after. This means that the role is very flexible, and many see this as a benefit as they are able to fit their shifts around other commitments such as a second job or university. Just like any role, working for Pexel is a challenging role. It's not for everyone but we do our utmost to help new starts settle into their job and do our best to help them in every way we can. I'm sorry that on this occasion, your experience with us wasn't a positive one, but we will take your comments on board to rectify any issues that we feel need addressing. Kind Regards, Pexel Research Services

Pros

None whatsoever - just don't bother even applying!

Cons

- Zero hours contracts: no real work or structure given. - Not told you're working until the day before: you cannot plan anything ahead outside of work! - Crap pay - Cold calling people to do surveys - tons of abuse from customers - You're expendable so your views are irrelevant to them - Costs of travelling to work often far exceed the wage you earn
