Pros
You can learn how to survive and adapt in an extremely chaotic and disorganized environment.
Cons
Leadership lacks vision and relies on extreme micromanagement. There is zero trust in employees, and every minor task is scrutinized, stifling any form of autonomy, creativity, or independent thinking. Even highly skilled professionals hired for their expertise are not allowed to work freely, as every decision must go through layers of unnecessary approvals and constant oversight. The company culture is dominated by control, poor communication, favoritism, and an extremely toxic management mentality. Employees are expected to simply follow orders without questioning inefficient processes or suggesting improvements. Fear and pressure appear to be management tools rather than leadership methods. HR appears to be fully decorative and serves little real purpose beyond administration and appears completely disconnected from employee wellbeing. Instead of supporting employees or helping resolve concerns, it functions more like an extension of management and a protective barrier for leadership. Employees who raise concerns quickly realize they are neither heard nor valued. Career growth is practically nonexistent unless employees aggressively push and fight for even the most basic recognition or progression opportunities. Do not expect meaningful salary increases, fair compensation adjustments, or transparent promotion paths. Hard work and loyalty aren’t rewarded, while internal politics and favoritism seem to matter far more than actual performance. What makes the environment even worse is the imbalance in how resources are allocated. Employees are denied basic tools, support, and benefits needed to perform effectively, while at the same time there is an obvious display of excess and privilege at higher levels of the company. Cost-cutting only seems to apply to some of the employees. Employee morale is extremely low, turnover is high, and talented people eventually leave once they realize there is no trust, no appreciation, and no real future within the organization. Looking back, I should have left much earlier. Staying in such a toxic environment for too long affects both motivation and mental wellbeing. Overall, this was one of the most exhausting, frustrating, and toxic work environments I have experienced. A culture built entirely around control, ego, distrust, and micromanagement will inevitably drive capable people away.
