The owner hates what he does, and cares little for his employees. There was so much infighting and backstabbing that wasn't even subtle. People would argue in meetings. Doors would be slammed to the point that ceiling panels were falling out of the ceiling. Once a coffee mug was thrown. My boss cried almost everyday, and she was the cause of most of this. I had members of the board telling me not to speak to executives because they would "try to pump me for information".. It was a crazy place to work. Once day I packed a box, and never looked back.
