      Pros

      Working remote is possible. Huge amount of AI tools to help your work.

      Cons

      30% of the company was laid-off (mainly engineers), then leadership told the rest to "use Claude" to pick up the slack. Engineering quality is severly plummeting, and we just lost decades of institutional knowledge by cutting 10+ year veterans. Leadership’s AI obsession is tanking the company. They basically sold the long-term viability of the company for better quarterly results now. This strategy is catastrophic.

      I'm sorry to read your review. We've made big changes at the company, and people can read all about those here (https://phrase.com/blog/posts/phrase-language-intelligence-platform/) and I've been open and very bullish about them on stage at events over the summer. It's a shame that you don't feel that this agrees with you, but I have to take enormous exception to your claim that engineering quality is severely plummeting. That is simply nonsense, and I know from spending time one-on-one with our most experienced, best, and longest-serving engineers that they are not just 100% behind what we're doing but feel excited and liberated by it too. I've been very honest that our significant commitment to being an AI-first business may not suit everybody, and it obviously does not suit you. I would encourage you to consider that you may be happier elsewhere than you obviously are at Phrase.

      Pros

      Nice place to work with very talented and nice people. Market leader with a product that is well designed. Remote friendly and good for work/life balance.

      Cons

      Sudden big reorganisation changes without much reason for it.

      Thank you for your review, and I couldn't agree more that we have talented and fabulously nice people working here. One of the things that I value most about Phrase is how helpful people are whenever you need it. Hello. It sounds like we have some work to do to explain some of the reorganisations that happen from time to time. Obviously, I hope that I can provide context for those at our weekly all-hands meetings with the anonymous Q&A, and that, if that isn't sufficient, that team meetings, managers and people team are available too. Otherwise, my diary is always open for a one-to-one if people want to have a chat!

      Thank you for your review, and in particular for the constructive comment on the need for more cross-departmental communication. I would very much agree that this is important. I'm personally working on something that will help align objectives across departments in what I hope will be a much more transparent way. I'd love it if you could write to me at the company and share some examples of cross-departmental communication you think would be useful.
