Pros

There are none seriously. The culture is really bad and the leadership team is even worse.

Cons

The company is full of the CEO's friends & family and none of them can get laid off even though they suck at all their jobs. They are all extremely unqualified for their roles and I can't really see the future of this company

Pros

Decent salary and remote work allowed in EU, one day month off (until it lasts)

Cons

Unfortunately, most of the negative reviews you are going to read here are true. I usually never write reviews unless I really want to call something out, so here we are. Picsart has an interesting product, but I have never worked in a company with such incompetent leaders. The CEO, CPO, and CTO have no vision and should be replaced as soon as possible if the company wants to have any future. There is a real problem of nepotism, with leaders placing their children, husband/wife, or friends, which feels very unethical to me. VPs and directors have a power ego problem, and there is a top-down culture, with leadership telling their team what to do rather than trying to empower people and foster innovation. This means decisions are data-informed (if at all) rather than data-driven. The company lacks innovation and is rather focused on chasing competitors (Canva/Adobe) on features without thinking about what the real problem is to solve for users. This translates to a bloated product with too many features and not doing one thing well. The company has an excellent design and UX research team, but insights produced by this team are mostly ignored. This results in a flaky strategy to seek the next viral thing, thinking users will retain once using those features once (the latest AI features are a good example of that). Finally, most EU colleagues remain isolated compared to those in Armenia (where most decisions are made), and career growth opportunities are practically non-existent, except for nepotism or people with good connections within the company.

Investors and Employees Beware

Pros

Sitting on a large talent pool in the Armenian headquarters (the Miami HQ is just a mailing address - zero employees are actually based there!)

Cons

An Armenian 10+ Year old APP start up which grew it's user base in non-english speaking Android markets - having failed to reach IPO in 2022 in the US (where is has a fake HQ) it is now devoid of any strategy other than either using 3rd party AI functions or copying other apps. Ask the question - if IPO was ever reached would any of the C-Suite or VP level of management make the cut? Nepotism is rife - the CFO is the only non-family member and he was bought on to help the company to reach IPO status - with that opportunity gone he is just loud whenever he is in the New York office. Big hires in 2022 , with most not making it to the end of the year, this is a company who has no idea how to grow outside of the start-up to IPO model. Without another round of investment there will be more and more layoffs until it is back to being the original Armenian employees. And if you are sitting across the Atlantic in Armenia and readying this - if the company does reach IPO - they will close the office there very quickly. Be warned.
