Pros

Pierce Transit is the absolute WORST place to work. Supervisors spy on you from home (via CCTV) , micro-manage you to no end and spread hate and discontent. Most of the managers have little to no experience and make it a point to make your life miserable! Pierce Transit has currently seven lawsuits filed by employees within the last two years (that I know of) and have paid large sums of money to settle blatant discrimination/hostile work environment complaints. Why this agency isn't under other further scrutiny by state and federal regulators is beyond me.

Cons

Pierce Transit is the perfect place for the incompetent, indifferent and under-achieving wannabees. If you work here, you will HATE life.....you have been warned!

No diversity and lack of good leadership skills

Pros

There are some truly wonderful people there.

Cons

The leadership development is sorely lacking. They are reverting to antiquated leadership styles, where people are neither mentored nor developed. There is a total lack of a diversity program. Unless you are entry level, they tend to gravitate towards non minorities. Check out their executive team and ask about their recruitment, hiring , retention and promotion rates of protected classes. Don't offer differing opinions or analysis. It's not welcome. There is a culture of fear developing. 5 reorgs in last 5 years. Don't take risks because they're going to hold it against you if you fail. They have a strategic plan that they won't report on.
