Bad Management and cliquey team behavor
Pros
At first, I felt like I had a lot of room to grow. They had good health benefits.
Cons
Cliquish Culture: The company had a cliquey atmosphere. If you weren’t part of the inner circle, you often felt left out. Unfortunately, this led to backstabbing behavior, especially when it came to management and customer interactions. Communication Gap with Management: Management held regular one-on-one meetings, but these sessions often lacked substance. They rarely addressed important issues, leaving employees in the dark. Consequently, problems that were never discussed would suddenly become points of contention. Medical Situation and Benefits: During a significant medical issue, the company’s response was disappointing. They forced me to switch from a salaried position to an hourly one, citing concerns about benefit costs. While I legally complied, it felt unfair and uncompassionate. Cost-of-Living Bonus Disparity: When the company awarded a 4% cost-of-living bonus to everyone, I was left out. Their reason? I wasn’t at 100% due to my illness. It was frustrating to see others benefit while I struggled. Merger Uncertainty: The owner is currently navigating a merger with another MSP, and the company’s stability is in question. Given the rocky ground, I recommend caution.
