Pros

Many genuine people work here and join to make a difference. The image is very different to the reality once you begin to work here.

Cons

Timesheets, unrealistic targets, constant pressure on speed not quality. Senior leadership view the climate crisis as a means to make money. They present an image which bears no resemblance to what they believe and their true actions. The staff are treated as numbers unless you are brought in as a friend of the senior leaders. Gaslighting is constant from the senior leadership and the staff are singled out if they criticise in any way. This is not an honest business. Good staff leave quickly. Staff who speak out are managed out of the company unceremoniously. A genuinely awful place to work.

Pros

Some clever people work in the company but the best staff do not stay long. The work is easy. The home working is good but lonely.

Cons

The Directors aim to make money not help businesses, it is all show. Managers leave because of the bad culture. You have to log every 15 minutes of your work on a timesheet. All a customer has to do is reduce by 2.5% a year just in utility and business travel emissions. Net Zero will not be reached by 2050 at this slow rate but customers get a badge. This is rubbish and is greenwashing. The culture is really bad as the other reviews have said. A lot of leavers and new starts so customers are not supported. The Directors hate being criticised and don't listen to what is said in staff survey.

Pros

If you're at the early steps of your career in sustainability, the "always more, always higher, always happy and smiley and together!" culture might work for you. You will get perks that are rather attractive and will be filled with (way too much) energy every single day. Depending on what role, salaries can be decent - as long as you're not London-based and manage to negotiate attendance to the weekly face to face team meetings. Working with clients can be very rewarding.

Cons

From the clients side and on paper, everything looks and sounds like a dream. But the company has a funny classist feeling, and unless you belong to their lot, you will be out soon, one way or another, because of things such as: - Extremely toxic "positive culture" - terms like "no", "but", or acknowledging that the company didn't deliver, is almost forbidden - although no one talks about it. - Massive lack of transparency, especially when employees leave/are unexpectedly sacked. - Lack of integrity when advising clients. - Endless hours in team meetings. - Still figuring out processes and products, which means constantly introducing changes in how the company operates, and also in business priorities.
