Better for junior consultants or PMs starting out
Pros
- Fully remote with limited travel (annual retreat, occasional on-sites) - Most consultants and PMs are approachable and willing to help when asked - Exposure to various FINS clients and interesting use cases - Mix of project and managed services work keeps things interesting - Utilization was removed from performance targets - Manager genuinely sought to help me succeed and grow
Cons
- Constant turnover (e.g. consultants being fired or resigning every other month). - Lack of transparency from leadership - Large knowledge gaps between Sales and Delivery on many projects - SOWs are often written poorly which led to change orders - Lack of structure in delivering and managing projects (e.g. Jira use was intermittent at best) - Little to no mentoring - Little to no technical leadership (rely on offshore developers for code & integrations) - Limited to no opportunities for advancement for senior delivery members - Weekly forecasting was often inaccurate with project work - Fell short of work/life balance expectations and family-friendliness (e.g. no parental leave)
