Pros

1 bubble tea per week (but its inconsistent unless someone picks it up from an outlet) Frankly, a free drink doesn't make up for a complete lack of basic company welfare and structural support.

Cons

Onboarding: There is no proper structure for newcomers. Management proudly uses the term "baptism by fire," which is just an excuse for a complete lack of guidance. Existing colleagues are too overwhelmed with their own workloads to offer support. New hires feel unwelcome and isolated from day one. Chasing moving targets & shifts in priorities: The company operates with little to no proper structure or planning. Expectations change constantly, timelines are completely unrealistic, and management expects high-level deliveries and results with zero planning. On top of a heavy workload, they also run a side business that was never mentioned during the interview process, yet employees are suddenly expected to take up the extra work and follow through on it. For the marketing team specifically, marketing calendars are practically non-existent and directions are frequently changed right before a launch. Leading to massive amounts of wasted time, effort, and the unnecessary stress of constantly reworking tasks. Poor Communication: The silos here are bad. HR, Accounts and Marketing feel completely cut off from one another (nobody talks to each other). Last minute decisions and changes are never communicated on time, so you’re constantly left in the dark trying to figure out what’s going on. Indecisive Leadership & Respect for time: The co-founders are highly indecisive and frequently waiver. Their inability to commit to a direction creates widespread confusion across all teams, sometimes resulting in double work can be very frustrating. They have a severe lack of time awareness, often late for online meetings, yet they have no issue dragging discussions out way past lunch hours or after 6pm. These meetings are super lengthy, repetitive and completely disregard the employees' personal time and work-life balance. Toxic & Manipulative Culture: The workplace environment is emotionally manipulative / guilt-tripping and high-pressure tactics to hide behind the excuse of wanting a "high-performing team" to justify toxic behavior. At the start of the year, there used to be a WFH arrangement of 2 days a month. With no flexibility and required extensive justification to get approved (even for AL), and eventually, it was taken away entirely with no good reason. Summary / Advice to Job Seekers This environment is draining, stressful, and chaotic. If you are looking for proper mentorship, organisational structure, or a healthy workplace culture, look elsewhere. The office location is pretty out of the way and a long walk from the bus stop. On top of that, the office itself is really small and cramped with an open-space concept.
