Pros

I used to believe in this company. The founder was a good man who understood the value of a gentleman's hand shake. His word was his bond. No matter what your position was within the company, he treated you like family.

Cons

The current president, Coley Herrin, brags about himself and his educational background. His main concern is the "bottom line". The founder may have not had the same educational background as Mr. Herrin, but he led this company to greatness. If you want to put 10+ years of your heart and soul into a company, only to be let go after you are no longer "profitable or valuable" to Mr. Herrin....then, this is your company. The pain PDI has caused many former employees and their families, is beyond horrible.

Independence to do your job as it should be done. Beautiful showrooms and vendor support. Sincere employee relationships within the showrooms.

Cons

Management is a joke. Young, freshly graduated Auburn alums/fraternity brothers taking over. No clue on managing employees and relations. Only concerned with pleasing higher ups. Originally PDI was a company that valued family, but that has deastically changed within the last 5 years. Huge disconnect between departments. Consultants are usually left fending for themselves. PDI has lost his original value and is left with the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Prehistoric software that is less than efficient.

Co-workers were all great to work with.

Cons

When I first started with this company, they said they were very family oriented, care about their employees, etc. Well none of this was true. Some employees are treated like family, but others are treated like an ugly stepchild. If you are not at the corporate office, or know someone in management you are not included. Management does a poor job of communicating to ALL employees. And once your out, they do not give you a chance to come back - even with excellent reviews and having been an excellent worker! I would not recommend working here unless your an Auburn Grad.
