Pros

The team members I worked with were good. The base salary was good.

Cons

Management had a very poor sense of direction - the system, approach, and strategy would be changed every 1 or 2 weeks. Very poor stability. Our suggestions were not taken, especially if they had to do with other departments. We were praised one day and heavily criticized the next. Very poor stability and very poor motivation. Really difficult to perform a sales job with these extreme ups and downs. No career movement - did not hire internally for higher sales positions and usually did not even attempt to interview the most senior SDRs. Lastly, the company was remote but post-acquisition implemented a hybrid work model; this caught people off-guard and was not the environment they were initially hired for.

Pros

Good base salary Sweet peers Interesting product

Cons

During my tenure at this company, the toxic culture and political maneuvering overshadowed what could have been a fulfilling professional experience. Some individuals prioritized saving face over the company's overarching goals, creating an unsettling environment. The head of the sales team, displacing the director without evident merit, and qualifications appearing optional in this chaotic environment, led to unfulfilled promises and a stark decline in results. Erratic decision-making, frequent strategy changes, and a lack of stability characterized the management's approach, turning the challenging sales job into an endurance test. The company's reluctance to consider internal hires for higher sales positions showcased a disregard for nurturing talent. The sudden transition to a hybrid work model post-acquisition caught many off-guard, deviating from the remote environment initially promised. I’ve never seen such a bizarre commission plan before. In conclusion, my time at this company was marked by unfulfilled promises, inept leadership, and a disregard for well-being. It serves as a cautionary tale for those considering joining an environment where the toxic and political nature of the sales department, coupled with a misguided work culture, remained prevalent issues. The lack of recognition for SDRs, the driving force behind opportunities, further highlighted the company's failure to appreciate their crucial role.

Great people not the greatest experience

Pros

- Office culture (for those who like going to the office) is terrific! The nicest people to work with. - Vraiment cool offices in Montreal and Quebec City. - Great snacks and drinks provided - Fun social events - Productive meetings - Good pay & benefits - Really great swag

Cons

- The "trasparency" is fake. Co-founders talk a good game, but do not walk the walk - People terminated out of the blue (seemingly political decisions sometimes) - Forced back to the office for no good reason - CEO has the tendency to 'go off' on ill-advised rants on social channels, showing his lack of experience and maturity - People are losing their jobs and being replaced internationally for less money since the acquisition - Top management and a select few who have been around a while are a real clique who can do no wrong, blame someone else, and get away with bad decisions - Some mental burnout happening for various reasons mentioned above
