      A leadership change has taken place since this review was written. dPOP is focused on a great company culture, trust and empowerment of team members. We regularly ask our team how leadership can continue to improve. We are dedicated to creating a great environment for all of our team members!

      Great team members - terrible leadership

      Pros

      The "do-ers" at this company are great! A driven, determined, and positive group of people who truly care about each other. The scale and impact the projects at Pophouse provides within the Detroit community is very unique.

      Cons

      Company leadership has no experience in the design industry, which leads to little understanding of what team members actually do, and how much time it actually takes. And little respect for what team members actually do. Little true reward for a large amount of work. Low pay compared to industry standard. There is a "fake" feedback loop within the company. Feedback is requested from team members, it is given, and then results in no change within the company, the process, or the workload.

      Pros

      After some recent leadership changes, our team is stronger and more focused than ever. dPOP is a very organized, process-oriented company that continues to grow and evolve each year. dPOP offers great benefits, a flexible work schedule, an amazing culture, and even better people.

      Cons

      Working in a startup requires wearing many hats and going above and beyond the job description. Some may see this as a con, but I see it as an opportunity to learn and grow and as individual.
