Pros

It is a unique group of overly qualified people. The company encompasses some of the best talent I have ever seen being constrained by threats and intimidation from a passionate, but misguided, leader. I am pleased to have met and worked with many of them. There is some flexibility in the work schedule for some employees.

Cons

While there may be some value to the idea behind the products in design, most of what is delivered are promises to be carried out by a team with no creative control and who regularly disappear with no explanation. Expect to be on call 24/7, below basic benefits, little vacation that will surely be interrupted with work, shockingly few holidays and the expectation that nothing in your life is as important as what the CEO needs at that very moment, no matter the time of day or night nor how trivial it may be. I have also never been witness to such a tremendous lack of respect for others' time, whether the meeting is with internal or external constituents, expect to wait an average of 30 minutes before the CEO makes an appearance.

We’re sorry to learn you didn’t have a great experience here. All staff are also offered regular access to share feedback and suggestions. When staff changes are needed, we also encourage participation in exit interviews to ensure feedback is heard. We listen carefully for ways to improve as we are committed to being a place people love to work. We work hard to assemble a team that has great skills, knowledge and a positive attitude toward work and life. We recruit for mastery…we believe in advancing autonomy and empowerment in alignment with mastery. We also help staff develop mastery, recognizing it's a developable path. We have a rigorous and inclusive creative and design process as one of our key product differentials includes design. We also look for people genuinely committed to our work that are tuned to the characteristics of a startup environment. And, we strive to create an environment for our team that matches our broader company goals--to measure social conditions and progress, to activate more individual giving and expand empathy and connection in service of helping people meet societal needs, and to power more philanthropic capital to flow to the charitable sector and improve our world. We believe that those that connect to our work will be able to put the normal workplace challenges into proportion. We also value performance, kindness and compassion and understand that the leadership style, including that of our engaged and passionate founder CEO, didn’t meet your needs. We genuinely have regret that you didn’t have a wonderful experience here. Like any relationship, the best employment situations are about finding a great match. We work hard to express the expectations and norms ahead of our employment relationships to ensure that it will be satisfying to both sides. We can see you were unprepared for the environment and we’re working to make sure we do more to help folks understand ahead of joining us. As we work on four continents, we have differing work schedules and norms for different departments. We’re still working to sort out communication so there is better understanding of where folks are and what time zone they’re operating in. We observe all the main holidays in the regions we operate and our PTO policies are standard and expand with tenure. Our benefits package is good and includes all the normal elements (health, 401k, stock options, etc.) and will continue to evolve as we mature. As a startup, the senior and middle management is still being assembled. The cadence of the office also continues to evolve with added staff support and more hands to distribute the work. And as with any new company developing and growing our team and product, we face all types of challenges. Yet this work is worthy so we strive to overcome these. We've had to make tough decisions and we've made tremendous progress with our team, products and customers and are set up to thrive. We genuinely wish you well and hope you have found a better employment match.

Pros

Fantastic colleagues (most of whom have since left)

Cons

CEO is running the company into the ground. She cares little about her employees, and knows nothing about the market. Company really doesn't have a product. Highest turnover I've ever seen. EVER! Morale seems to only decrease with time. Interview process was unreasonably long. Something like 10 interviews, some of which were on the weekends or late at night. Benefits are lousy so don't get sick.

Pros

Co-workers are smart and some are really talented. They will all be gone soon, as they should. The location is not bad.

Cons

YOUR PAYCHECK WILL BOUNCE! Then management will treat you as a burden for asking for your money two weeks after it's due. It's truly unbelievable. Posiba is running out of funds.
