Mother company Actuant provides endless self learning tools via web learning. Lower/mid- level colleagues doing the best they can with the extreme high workload. Job functions are interesting and dynamic.
Cons
Too late to market with anything resembling innovation. High costs of poor quality causing consequences. Sneaky ways of getting rid of employees. Preaching that they are flexible with working, yet working against many that attempt to use the flexibility. No positive merit system for the top performers. Due to several reorganizations a very negative atmosphere. Most production moving to Turkey, so job security is a question on minds of most employees. HR sneaky with processing overtime hours. Questionable if company follows CAO agreements. HR & middle management rarely promote from within, so if your current manager is dependant on you in your function any request to grow into a higher position is often rejected with poor reasoning, and they then higher a new graduate to fill a position that could have been filled by a more than qualified person. If you decide to work here carefully build your internal relationships as there are some very negative but very influential colleagues. The company does not seem to know how to get the declining sales turned around. New good people leave within a short working history. The past of high focus in the automotive branch has caught up with them as the cabrio market is drying up.
