Pros

Management cares about their people and I think do their best to help us succeed. I've had good opportunities for advancement and improvement so I've learned a lot in my time here. Coworkers mesh well together and it's a fun environment to be in while working.

Cons

The pay might start out on the low side/be a little below the average base pay, but it's still comfortable, it hasn't stayed stagnant, and I think the atmosphere and camaraderie is a reasonable trade-off.

Pros

1. It's not terrible to start your career since they do quite a few things in digital marketing and the accounts are small.

Cons

1. Bad Leadership: the leaders of departments don't have a lot of experience in managing or working in the industry so there is little ability to learn more than the basics. On top of that, most managers micro manage and don't allow for human errors leading to a stressfully, low morale place to work. 2. Not Adapting: This is a print company that switched to digital marketing without hiring people from the industry and it shows. They still use strategies that are out of date by more than 5 years and don't listen to industry best practices that are new 3. Low Pay & Long Hours: starting pay isn't terrible, but they don't give much with promotions and expect you to work extra hours without extra pay or benefits. 4. Family Owned: while this isn't usually a bad thing, they run into the trap of cliques and bringing family/friend drama and favorites into the mix daily. If you're not part of this inner circle there is no growth opportunities and no voice in the company.

Means "Well" But Poor Management

Pros

The environment is extremely lax, and there's an air of camaraderie in the office amongst the non-management employees. Everyone loves to joke around. There's also work-from-home days which is great.

Cons

Management doesn't effectively communicate with employees. Often, they let customers walk all over them, and the employees have to double their workload due to management's lack of communication. Unless they've updated their procedures, their team meetings are extremely late and often under-attended by important employees who really need to be there. That's mostly because there's a weird relationship between certain employees and upper management that definitely favors them above others. Unfortunately, it's not a 100% safe environment for LGBTQ employees in my opinion. The employee turnover is high, and I believe there's a reason for that.
