Sketchy startup that endangers employees and clients, doesn't pay employees on time, and ZERO work life balance.
Pros
- You get to learn about all the red flags to look for in a company - Coworkers deal with the same BS, so there is some good comradery
Cons
- Unsafe workplace - Minimal fume management - Safety hazards get acknowledged but rarely addressed - left to employees to figure out - Told to perform entirely other jobs without update to contract or compensation - When asked about missing paychecks, employees were told they have "employment letters" and "not contracts" so basically the company wants you to uphold your end of the bargain, but they don't have to - Upper management is unwilling to address and identify contaminants present in products that they sell to customers - Upper management forced analytics to alter data to sell material even though there were contaminants present - 45 hour weeks minimum, and upper management "asked"(told) me multiple times to work on things at home since they pile on too much weekly work and they know it - Asked to transport chemicals with severe hazards multiple times in personal vehicle - Research meetings scheduled at 4pm on Friday afternoons basically takes half of your workday away by preparing your presentation when you could be working. The meetings never end at 5pm, always between 530 and 630. - PPE such as respirators only supplied to employees deemed worthy - Hiring and firing surges preferred to restructuring workflow to meet goals - Countless OSHA violations and FDA violations - One owner is data driven, one tries to ignore data. Both are scientists, and they're married. This makes conflicts of interest that hinder the business and hurts employees - There is no HR entity. We believed this was by design to suppress as much employee concern as possible
