Pros

As an engineer you're given a relatively high degree of autonomy, as long as you keep demonstrating you're capable of managing yourself. Coworkers are all pleasant people. No office drama.

Cons

No real mentorship - you're pretty much on your own to figure everything out. There's not any defined path for advancement. Sometimes you get overbooked juggling multiple clients and you're expected to just make it work.

Pros

While I've experienced personal and professional growth at Precocity, the smaller team structure has posed some limitations in terms of career advancement. The company culture at Precocity, continues to be a positive aspect, fostering collaboration and a supportive environment. I appreciate the competitive pay structure, which has been a positive aspect of my overall compensation package.

Cons

Being part of a small team of two, I have encountered challenges in terms of career advancement opportunities within the company. While the initial compensation was competitive, I've noticed a lack of significant salary increases in the past couple of years.

Pros

I left a company of friends, nay family, to take a chance on leading a team at Precocity. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Management operates with the mantra of trust, and accountability. This creates an atmosphere with almost no micro-management, incredible freedom, and the ability to forge your department and career with real meaning. Precocity offers incredibly competitive pay and benefits, as well as a professional development allowance for books, courses, conferences etc. There is ZERO drama here. Everyone acts like adults to get their jobs done in the most professional manner possible, all the while having a good time. While relatively small, Precocity competes with all the big consultancies in the area. You get to work on web, mobile, native, AR/VR/MR, AI, ML, and more. I've had more opportunities on more projects in the past few years working with Precocity than I've had in my entire career beforehand. I can't recommend working here highly enough. It's why I've worked here longer than I've ever worked anywhere before in my life.

Cons

The org is fairly flat. There's not a big ladder to climb, so if a big title and a passel of direct-reports are what you seek, maybe it's not for you. This doesn't mean you can't level-up, it just means it's up to you and your manager to decide what that means, and what that looks like. For some people that's too much room and a con. For me it's a HUGE pro. The office is kinda spare. It's new and modern, but you won't find daily catered lunches, foosball, ping-pong etc. (though there has been talk about getting some, the size of the office makes it a logistical challenge).
