Pros
Prior to anticipated return to an office, everyone has been fully remote. Solid progress being made towards a first satellite mission. The PredaSAR leadership (Roger Teague, Eric Truitt, and Scott Berger in particular) are nothing short of excellent leaders. They’ve got loads of experience in space-based engineering and their technical abilities are refreshing to see in management. If you have a desire to work in space, I’m genuinely impressed and love this career. Tyvak is an excellent company and the initial PredaSAR system is nothing short of beautiful.
Cons
CEO Marc Bell sends very erratic emails that make me question the stability of the company, even with such a strong legacy in space provided by the sister company Tyvak. They will be forcing a return to office spaces, though in many locations they don’t even have the leases signed yet. I am very worried that they are alienating the top engineers enough to the point where they will leave and jeopardize the project. Plus, with two other very bankrupt ventures in his history, it’s anxiety inducing. Honestly, I’d think twice about signing on again because of it.
