Extremely slow decision-making. Very top heavy organization with lots of cooks in the kitchen and very little clarity on who owns decisions and timeline for making them quickly. I've worked at large companies and small startups and this is the most disorganized org I've worked for. The leadership team is well-intentioned but in over their head for a company at this scale. They were likely the right leaders a few years ago. Also, priorities are all over the place. There are like 12 different values each with super long names and tons of OKRs. We get that a lot is going on but we need to find a way to simplify objectives. Lot of "rah rah" and very little discussion about what isn't working. People get fired and there is zero communication about it.

- you have to adjust your thinking and approach to company's politics in order to be successful in your career at Preply. In theory they are open to feedback, but you need to be careful what you are saying. -there are 12 values that run Preply's business, but you might be under high pressure to achieve all of them during your performance review, however Preply should practice what they preach and managers should also respect these values. -building culture of trust should be a priority for Preply - feedback given to other employee should remain confidential - I heard people gossiping about one another regarding their performance - your job might be prone to micromanagement, especially if you are under pressure to deliver OKRs. We understand that the goals have to be achieved, however please have more trust to your employees - career growth path are not clear, despite of the fact that this issue had been raised several times throughout the years.
