Promised things upon hire, BUT nothing was as promised.
Pros
There are none. No steady check. Not properly compensated for the job you would get paid three times for anywhere else. On top of that you get bit, and no one does anything about it with the aggressive dogs.
Cons
Not a steady paycheck like most think of. Low pay. Disrespectful and unprofessional staff to employees and customers. Quit only after a month of employment. More than one person that was hired while i was still working there quit the same day or the next day. Some for the receptionist job I was hired for, and the others were for Kennel Tech. I did Kennel Tech over thanksgiving and that is just too physically demanding for someone my age. Job is not hard nor difficult by any means. A lot to do and keep up with; rightfully so-but not compensated for the job that actually must be done. The job title should be changed from receptionist to office personnel. After working here, I will never return to the "pet industry" because of the unprofessionalism I have encountered as well as the disappointment on the treatment of the pets. When you go to management about anything, excuses are made as well as nothing is done and retaliation occurs; cutting hours, being sent home because management did not schedule properly, or because you have allergies/sinus issues, or hired too many people.
