Nice recruiter, bad assignment - not the recruiter's fault

I had a caring recruiter who checked in all the time and would call about prospective opportunities. I went on a few interviews and received prompt feedback. I received an offer and quickly started. I was very appreciative to receive this position and for the care I received from the recruiter.

Cons

I immediately knew the position wasn't for me and provided details to my recruiter as to why. I wish my recruiter would have listened more carefully as to why and didn't sway me stay when I was unhappy. I understand it's that person's job to think about the company as well. But, it would have made my life a lot easier. I still would recommend the recruiter.

I have had an excellent experience working for Principal Technologies. It seems as if upper management really cares about the employees and about doing the right thing. I feel that they are very understanding when it comes to needing off due to family emergencies etc. I really like the ability to do my job and be able to ask questions and know that I am surrounded by people that have experienced similar situations and are able to collaboratively come up with a solution. The training has been excellent, it was a lot to take on at first but everyone was very helpful in my training process.

Cons

I have always felt if there was an issue I could address it with management and was able to move past it quickly. If you don't know there is a problem you cannot fix it. I feel it is only fair to give your supervisor the respect of addressing issues with them directly rather than just sit back and fume about it.

Pros

Small but growing locally-owned business with family friendly values. Excellent training for employees that come from outside the industry. The owner has focused on building the business with character and doing what's right for both candidates and employers. Excellent opportunity to partner with a company matching most companies values in Oklahoma.

Cons

Still growing the name recognition in the market compared to national companies.
