Additionally, there are concerns around professional boundaries—particularly regarding the BCBA’s personal relationships with client families. The lines between professional and personal interactions often feel blurred, and clearer boundaries would help maintain ethical standards and protect both staff and families.
There is also a significant need for more comprehensive training for high-intensity behaviours such as elopement and physical aggression. Even after a year with the company, there is still uncertainty around how to safely and effectively respond in these situations, which can be stressful and potentially unsafe for both staff and clients.
