Pros

Greetings and Salutations. Your only saving prayer is that private jets are cool and odds are the next company you are interviewing with (when you decide to leave) knows nothing about the industry. If you go on to interview within the industry A) be prepared to explain who PJS is...because nobody has ever heard of them or B) get ready to answer "yikes, how was it working for Greg?" -Close to Kume! -No line on the air hockey table! -Chilli cook off every Friday!

Cons

There is a 5 word minimum requirement to answer this question...let's see if there is a maximum allowance. PJS is best described as Grand Central Station. So many people walk through the turn style and sit long enough to realize they really just want to leave. The rate of turn over is actually impressive, average tenure must be below 1.5 years (HR will likely reply with a different statistic...please include total head count compared to total departures in the last 4 years). There may be higher retention in Human Directional Signs (google it!) I started in sales support and stayed almost three years- I went through three senior management changes. I actually felt bad for the new management. Like any good leader, they start with such admirable enthusiasm and optimism and such hope to leave their mark. There is zero chance of success with the CEO in place (oh and good luck in sales specifically, the CEO cherry picks all inbound leads...have you ever had to compete with a CEO for sales? Level playing field right?). Also, I did not realize until after I left PJS that the payscale and commission was terrible- do your research to understand what companies pay. It all makes sense to me now, how else is this CEO going to pay for his next Bentley or Ferrari? Maybe payment is something like a combination of interest from a trust fund and what could have been your commission? Also, be careful if you do sign a big account- you might just be let go before you receive your payout. No, not kidding.

Pros

The people there genuinely like each other and one of the binds that keeps them together is the dislike for the CEO.

Cons

As you can see from the reviews here on Glassdoor, after there were negative reviews written, the CEO “suggested” that people write positive reviews. To be TOLD to write a positive review is just part of the type of scare tactics that the CEO uses to control everyone. Don’t be fooled by his charming personality as it can change at the drop of a hat. You will be called stupid to your face and anything you do wrong will be “galactically stupid”. The company recently hired a new CFO and HR rep who are there to deliver news that the CEO is too much of a coward to do on his own. If he doesn’t like you, you will know it as he doesn’t hide how he feels. If he does like you, for the moment, then you are his best friend. If you like working for a manic personality with NO boundaries, this is the place for you! HR is usually the go to person where you can speak to them for advice and trust that they will do the right thing. However, here, you should NEVER trust HR person as they are just a puppet for the CEO and won’t fight for what is right for the employee. They will also charm you and act like they are your best friend to get you to open up about what is wrong/right with the company. They will then take all the confidential information and throw you under the bus. They think they are building company morale when in reality, people are just doing what they do to keep their job. Restructuring is just a facade as it will happen over and over again (this is not the first time), until everyone that works there is just an extension of the disgusting management style of the CEO. How he has remained in business this long and kept the customers he has is still a mystery. Advice to anyone applying, take the advice that I was given during my first week: run, and run fast. There are so many other great companies out there that will treat you with respect and appreciate your skillset. This is a very toxic environment. The 3.7 positive rating here is a joke and again, it’s only that high because people were forced to leave positive reviews. Half of them were recently let go as well, so that didn’t give them any job security.

Pros

Misery shared is misery halved

Cons

Every bad review is true. CEO is a narcissistic sociopath and will push you to the breaking point for his own success. If you mess up, he will guilt trip you and say “you are literally taking food off my kids plate”…although he has like 3 luxury cars and multiple properties... He will hold your salary against you and publicly berate you. After I resigned (best decision of my life) I had to change my ringtone because the one I had while working here would trigger ptsd and panic attacks because the ceo will call you in the middle of the night to chew you out over the smallest things and make you feel like slave labor. You will hate your life here. You will contemplate taking a part time job at McDonalds just to escape the third world dictatorship-like atmosphere the ceo has established at PJS. No amount of money is worth the misery you will endure here. Don’t drink the kool-aid. You will lose all your friends, loved ones and people you care about because all of your time will be devoted to the all-mighty Greg Raiff. Sounds fun right? If you take this job after reading this, you have no one to blame but yourself.
