Pros

I can't speak for other areas, but here in OH/PA/WV Profrac is a good place to work. They have competitive pay that is based off prior experience, but unfortunately not everyone is honest when they write their own resume, and because of that they may offer a lower pay than you would expect, until you show what you can do. Once I showed what I could do, and that I was dependable, my pay was adjusted to match my experience. They have all the normal Health benefits you would expect, a matching 401k, but above all they actually look out for their employee's. A lot of people want to come to a new frac company because they think they can take advantage, they want to see what they can take without any effort on their part to give back, but that doesn't work to well in this area because we look out for our company that looks out for us. We give an honest days work for an honest days pay. If you are looking for a company where you can do as little as possible and try to BS your way into a lot of money for nothing, this isn't the place for you, but if you are looking for a company that rewards hard work and knowledge, and are willing to give 100% to get 100%, then this place is where it's at. With Profrac you get out of it what you put into it.

Cons

We don't get per diem yet like all the other frac companies, but that could be coming especially if we keep growing like we are.

Pros

They have a 401 k match plan, they have very new equipment, they have a decent starting amount for employees, they are technology focused, their goal to be the fastest growing frack company is doing well.

Cons

There is no clear nor concrete raise scale system in place, was told 90 days and there would be a review and a raise, but that turned out to be a lie. The mechanics and etechs don’t have their own company work trucks and the tool storage on location is a joke, people borrow tools and don’t bring them back or just on purpose steal them. The time clocking system is old and has to be done on a machine and they won’t let anyone clock in by their phones. Employee turnover is high right now because they won’t stay competitive in the pay game. They do not pay travel time.

Pros

Company has money to take care of equipment and employees.

Cons

They overspend and often layoff or get rid of guys to keep costs down. Money management overtakes taking care of employees in such a regard that it leaves a lot of people high and dry even when oil is 80+ a barrel
