Pros

-substantive work -very little day to day oversight -decent reputation on the hill/potential for impact -flexible schedule and reasonable work/life balance

Cons

-microagressions and bullying were common -despite being an incredibly top-heavy organization, senior staff are all checked out, overpaid, and ineffective -very little opportunity for growth or intellectual mentorship -managers are not skilled in managing people -the organization is in the midst of an identify crisis and can't seem to make decisions

Pros

Coworkers and people were great, truly a valuable and impassioned group of people who gave their best every day and want to see their organization's mission succeed. Working remote always a plus.

Cons

Top heavy, Executive team extremely out of touch and make hasty decisions that affect morale. Getting any kind of raise or promotion if you're not in any of the policy teams feels like pulling teeth/is practically impossible.
