Pros

Location. Metro accessible from Farragut North and Farragut West. Paid on time and accurately (most of the time). Coworkers with a good sense of humor.

Cons

This place is making money at any cost off of the backs of black, brown, immigrant and low-income individuals. They set up a system that puts the students in more debt to them than they already are. They prey on these above mentioned communities’ lack of knowledge and education on how proprietary schools work. They make it out like they are changing lives and doing favors for the students (and employees) when really their own interests and pockets are at the center of all decisions. It is clear that not one person in management has a degree in business administration or management. The Department of Education needs to crack down on these diploma programs ran by individuals for solely profitable reasons. Additionally, they train these individuals closely working under them to be their puppets and it is quite sad to watch, but they are grown adults and choose to be treated and trained in this manner. The unfortunate part is that these individuals lose who they are as individuals in order to keep their dead end job.

Pros

- paid on time (that is it) - it's near the metro & the Whitehouse (which makes a lot of sense in Trumps America)

Cons

- micromanaging (& doesn't honestly have a single clue). - management often obsessive & complicate the simplest tasks. -You'll be asked to do everything outside of your job description. - The students aren't being motivated & instead treated like second-rate high-schoolers even though most are in their 20's,30's,40's. - While they (mgmt) may suggest that they're open to change during your interview, they are certainly not & will steer you into doing the very same (wrong & outdated) practices they were doing prior. - maybe its a cultural miscommunication, but the 'President' can be very rude for no reason. During my first week on the job, she (Rahmaty) made it a point to backtrack & let me know that I in fact 'did not know more than she did in anything outside of my job title' after I suggested a change in how things were typically done. ( Which was in fact a lie, I obviously knew PROSPECT college was a sinking business that cons low income individuals of financial aid in exchange for a bottom rate education since day one of clocking in.) She often thinks she knows more than she actually does. - Employees not able to work without asking permission to do simplest tasks. -Mgmt gossips about each employee to other employees. -Mgmt preys on finding low income minorities to pay for their monthly business expenses. - Building feels and looks like a prison. (the one 'motivational' thing in the building is a very poorly written quote in pencil & outlined in highlighter on the stairwell.) - Expect the most for the very least. - Financially stingy (staff paying for craft materials out of pocket). - Everything about it screams SCAM. - They charge students (&staff) to use elevator, knowing most of they economic background.

Not a company to grow with

Pros

-The concept of the school is wonderful; giving non-traditional students a chance to pursue careers. - It is a small school, so there is a a lot of freedom to try different techniques to improve methods - Great location; near Farragut West & Farragut North

Cons

- Unfortunately, the management (which basically consists of the husband & wife who own & run the company) are not interested in having the company grow. They hire and fire people on a weekly basis without any care, consideration or warning. - You will consistently be micromanaged and no matter how much work you do, they will make you feel like you are not doing enough and keep pushing you to do more. - The students sometimes get frustrated at the staff & lash out at them in the form of using curse words & slamming doors & threats. There are no consequences for that. - The husband & wife duo will have frequent department meetings where they will throw out personal insults at you. If you speak out against it, they will tell you that you are too sensitive - Admissions department has too much pressure to meet numbers as a result of which they always bring in students who are homeless, have a learning disability, have a mental health condition or are overall not fit to be in school. They consistently bring back students who had been previously dropped.
