Thank you for leaving such thoughtful feedback! While we’re happy to learn how much you enjoyed the flexibility and working with an amazing Psyched team (we agree that our people are everything, and all-around awesome), your concerns about work levels and management styles are worrisome to us. We apologize that this was your experience.
You make a good point when it comes to our service model. A point of pride for us is our level of responsiveness to parents and districts, and to the needs of their kiddos, and indeed we do strive for universal positive outcomes across our programs and support services. But it’s important to us that this responsive model doesn’t come at the expense of people feeling overworked, much less unheard. We will take your words to heart as we make further improvements to the way we balance the very real needs of our team members with these service expectations.
The pandemic was also a time of difficulty for us, though every decision we made at the management level was to prioritize two pillars: our long-term viability as a company, as well as preventing any layoffs or cuts in the short-term. It was an imperfect balance, and with it came a significant amount of anxiety about whether we were getting things right. We always sought, and always will remain transparent about these choices, which were effective at steering us through the worst of COVID-19.
We’d like to know more about your experience in depth, so if you’d be willing to share, please reach out to marlene@psychedservices.com.
