      Great work-life balance but limited career growth

      Pros

      Great Work Life balance and lots of opportunity for hands on experience, VERY stable employment, no corporate drama, everyone for the most part tries to get along and play nice

      Cons

      Not a tech company so the scope of internal projects and experience needed for software engineering is limited. More focused on implementing enterprise infrastructure and SaaS services. Compensation for SWE is a bit lower than the main FAANG competitors.

      Love the people, great life balance, very interesting work

      Salaries aren't as high as in tech, where many people in the Seattle/Bellevue area work, although benefits are fantastic

      Supportive culture, transparency from management, serving the community and customers, and incredible flexibility (for certain roles). I started as an intern 18 years ago and have worked my way up to a people manager!

      Regulated company can hamstring the company's thinking and ability to innovate.
