Pros

Locality and 3 day weeks

Cons

This place as just went to hell. The staff whom most have been there for years can’t get along because they are so busy due to poor staffing. Some of the aged staff just can’t get it done.Corporate just keeps taking benefits and and positive perks away.No bonus for holidays and no recognition from corporate for nurses week...only if they want to take a perk away do they see us.Upper management can’t get a thing done because of poor staffing and no control.Evaluation and raises are always late and give no encouragement and the money is poor. You can’t use your vacation time because there is no staff so they buy it back at the end of the year...at 1/2 price!

Pros

I have nothing positive to say for Pure Life except maybe their purchase last year from the previous owner prevented the company from closing up. Oh wait, I thought of one PRO...their physical location; not the actual building, just the address it is at is mostly convenient.

Cons

Let's start with a saying...Good people don't leave bad companies they leave bad management. And good people are leaving. The new FLA mgmt says employees make too much $, but the local pay rates are among the lowest in the area. In addition ,with the new regime we have: 1) lost vac time. 2) have significant $$ increases in health insurance cost (basically a pay cut). 3) increased in ancillary work duties and shortage of staff due recent departures. 4) clinical staff are now required to perform a maintenance job; oftentimes stopping patient treatments to get needed supplies that non-clinical staff should have taken care of. Folks it is bad and getting worse every week. Local managers are old, tired, and don't seem to care about the majority of worker bees.

Pros

I really like working for PLR. The clinic runs smoothly and there is always time to provide exceptional patient care. Corporate is very supportive of doing what is in the best interests of the patient, and so the culture of the clinic is much kinder. There is less of a factory-type pace and more of a patient-centered pace for the staff.

Cons

The company is small and so there aren't a lot of opportunities if you need to relocate, but the company is also expanding and so that should change.
