Micromanagement Culture The company has a strong micromanagement culture, with very little trust between management and staff. Employees are closely controlled, and there is limited space for independence or initiative. Decision-Making & Fairness Decisions often feel personal rather than objective. Once you are viewed unfavorably, it becomes difficult for your work to be judged fairly, whether something is “right” or “wrong” seems to depend more on who you are than what you do. Performance & Progression It is also clear that success here is not always based on ability. Being agreeable and aligning with management appears to matter more than having good ideas or professional judgment. Even questionable decisions are supported, as long as they come from the right place. Workplace Respect & Boundaries There are instances where inappropriate jokes are made in the workplace, including references to gambling (such as lottery/toto) being treated as “bonuses,” as well as intrusive personal questions. At times, these comments also touch on sensitive personal beliefs, which can feel disrespectful and unprofessional. This creates an environment where personal and professional boundaries are not consistently maintained. Work Culture & Talent Retention Because of this, people who think independently or speak up are often seen as difficult to manage, rather than valued for their perspective. Over time, this makes it hard for capable individuals to stay in the company.
