Dear Fmr Employee, We sorry to hear you have not coped well with career pursuits. New hires without any prior experience in sales are always paired with a senior more experienced professional to guide them initially. One cannot expect to be in a sales career and not do any sales. We have great colleagues and managers whom are always willing guide you and take on extra load if you are new. We feel 8 days with any company is too brief to learn anything or perhaps you may need more time to decide what type of job you want to pursue. Job scope and duties are well spelt out in our employment ads and pay packages are made clear in our employment contracts. We hope you find your way. Sincerely, Team Q8

Dear Ex-Employee of Q8 Asia, We are truly disappointed that you have resorted to trying to spread FAKE news about us and our culture. Needless to say we will set things right for the record officially. “I have been working at Q8 Asia full-time (Less than a year)” You resigned and we ended your employment on 7th June, Thursday this year. At the time of your post here on 25th June, Monday, you are not a current employee of Q8 so again this is FAKE. Pros “Flexible hour” We have an understanding management and not sticklers to 9am to 6pm so long as work gets done and completed responsibly. “A lot free lunch, dinner, drinking from management” As a company we like to do things together and get to know team members better. We do not however appreciate or tolerate freeloaders whom do not contribute. These sessions allow the team to get to know how best to collaborate better away from their desks. Time and attention is invested. Narrow minded freeloaders are of the usual mindset that its “free”. Cons “Super micromanage environment” As you have joined us from a similar start-up, we have pretty much left you to work as comfortably as you can. We provide as much support as willingly possible in terms of resource and direction. Our organisation believes in fostering a working culture that allows our employees in using various approaches and methods to “get things done” or achieve their targets. Trust is given to the employees to achieve their end goals. The management will only step in and make corrective steps should the employee is found not achieving the end goals/ delivering or abusing the trust. “Very small start-up company” You did not seem to mind our lateral no politics environment when you joined us nor the high incentives and commissions you received initially until we grew to take on more sales. Perhaps a healthy competitive environment is not for you to thrive in. The company was officially operating since third quarter of 2017 hence explains the current size of the organisation. We are a close-knit organisation with everyone sharing the same goals, directions and rewards. “No career prospect” There are plenty of opportunities with a young and fresh organisation provided one seizes the opportunity. Opportunities for capable leaders to grow and expand their respective core expertise domain exist in our organisation. You were given a fair chance of develop/ lead your respective team, but this capability was lacking in your performance and review. “Management without aim and direction to lead the company” On the contrary, we are constantly developing new content and direction for our platforms, but we can only entrust them to true and capable talent. We recognise and reward talent accordingly and provide them with an environment to excel and grow. We appreciate people who can Create, Curate & Innovate. We are always building and creating smart initiative community platforms which foster greater knowledge and capability transfer amongst Government and Corporate communities. “Management always change commission scheme and staff benefit from time to time WITHOUT proper notice” Being a boutique sized allows us to be nimble and adjust to fast changing market conditions and address exploitation in current systems. HOWEVER, there is always a discussion with the team prior and it is followed via official announcement via email before any change takes effect. As far as we know, it is still status quo on commissions since we started. No changes have been made on our staff benefits since our incorporation. Your comments are untrue and misleading. “Management will forfeit your incentives / commission without reasonable reason” This is just not true and bad use of English. Perhaps they should for doing so. A staff handbook has been made available to all staff and SOP claims procedure is to be adhered to. No currently employed staff has ever been denied their hard-earned incentives or commissions. Again, your comments are fake and false. "Very poor office location" Our office is located within close proximity of the MRT station (3 mins walk/ covered walkway). Harbourfront, VivoCity and Alexandra Mapletree Mall are lunchtime venues in the area. "Not much food stalls around the office building" The building serves 5 restaurants with different cuisines, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Western and Singapore local food. If that’s not enough, take a 5-minute sheltered walkway stroll to the “Kopitiam” Food establishment that serves locale food at affordable prices starting from SGD 2.50 for a bowl of famous “bak chor mee” noodles. Advice to Management Please be treat your staff as asset.. We value all of team members, in fact, we treat each of them family. It's those that betray the trust and abandon responsibility that we take issue.

Pros

1.Anyone who chooses to work here should be watching their back. A horrific company culture of impending doom. 2.horrible management and bullying.

Cons

1.The negative reviews are real. The sparkling reviews with paragraphs are dictated to boost hiring and create a good image, it's not genuine. 2.The management painted a very pretty picture of working here at the interview but only when you work there, they show their true colours of how rude and controlling they are. 3.Management micromanaged and very serious politics causing a very low morale workforce 4.Terrible management with no direction, strategy or future direction. 5.This is the most unprofessional, disorganized, and poorly managed company I have encountered in my career. To Whom It May Concern: We are not surprised that this ex-employee of Q8 Asia is still haunting this post as it only confirms to us that he/she has a hard time holding down to and securing a job since the beginning of the posts here. We hope that prospective employers and would be future ones can be forewarned as such. Obviously you have a lot of unresolved issues and hang-ups which are burdening you down in your life and dismal career progression. We suggest you move on if possible. Our REAL & CAPABLE team members are encouraged to post HONEST and REAL reviews and we do not sugar coat their opinions. It’s just the INCAPABLE ones which are weeded out naturally on their own and we do not force anyone to stay. On the contrary, we do encourage our team members to develop to their fullest potential and are happy to provide stellar references to future employers should their performance with us be over and above the norm. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how one sees it, we’ve had to rid ourselves of the LIARS, FRAUDSTERS, SCAMMERS & LAZY ex-employees which generally brought along with them BAD work ETHICS and morally bankrupt personas which ARE NOT tolerated in our Organization. We believe in business but we adhere to Ethical Business practices. Something you cannot teach unfortunately. Team Q8
