Excellent work and life balance, quartal bonuses, regruiting process went great, onboarding was well organized. The Belgrade office at Belgrade skyline is open space and modern, so I love working hybrid

Pros

- Opportunities to develop internally and learn every day - Salary package - Mindset and cultural openness

Cons

- The company is always (re)transforming itself, it can difficult to keep the pace aha - Between a scale-up and a large established company: this makes alignment more and more difficult sometimes

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you value the opportunities to grow internally, learn every day, and experience Qonto’s open mindset and culture. We hear your point about the pace of transformation and the fact that alignment can sometimes become more difficult. As Qonto grows — with more customers, larger teams, and more locations — the way we operate also needs to evolve. Some of the ways of working that served us well at an earlier stage are no longer enough at our current scale. This is why we continue to adapt our organization, processes, and ways of working. The goal is not to change for the sake of change, but to address the challenges that come with scale before they slow us down or create more complexity for teams. At the same time, we recognize that these transformations can make it harder to keep pace and stay aligned. To reduce this, we rely on company-wide OKRs to give teams a shared direction, and we share progress regularly during our monthly All-Hands. We also continue to work on clearer communication, stronger rituals, and manager enablement to help teams better understand priorities and how their work contributes to Qonto’s goals. Thank you again for your feedback. It helps us keep improving how we scale while preserving what makes Qonto a great place to grow.

Pros

Qonto is a great place to grow as an engineer if you enjoy continuous learning and high standards. The problems are genuinely challenging (product complexity, scale, and reliability), but you’re supported with solid tooling and a culture of collaboration and ownership. I’ve found the team environment encourages learning through feedback, sharing knowledge, and shipping meaningful improvements that have visible customer impact.

Cons

The pace is fast and expectations are high. It’s a great fit if you like ownership and moving quickly, but it can be challenging if you prefer a slower pace or more stability.
